Rental Policy
The following terms and limitations shall apply to the rental of equipment. Due to the complexities involved with the rental of high value equipment we hereby present the conditions set forth below for your concurrence so as to enable you to enjoy the convenience provided by the Work In Motion rental service.
1. Though Work In Motion is proud to rent very rugged hardware for your use, it is understood that the equipment is not indestructible. Upon return to hotel front desk, the rented hardware will be visually inspected for any evident damage and inventoried for any missing components. The renting guest will be responsible for the replacement of broken/missing components or repair of any significant damage. To protect against this liability, your hotel will be requiring a $500 credit card deposit at time of rental. Upon your return of the hardware and a satisfactory visual integrity inspection by the hotel, the credit card deposit will be credited back to your credit card account and only the rental charge will apply.
2. Work In Motion closely monitors the installed hardware and software applications, and does everything in its power to prevent software tracking or identity theft. But any information processed through Work In Motion's components is subject to the risks inherent with internet use by the renter including any potential for cyber-theft. The renter shall assume these risks and will hold harmless both Work In Motion, and the hotel from which the hardware was rented. Neither Work In Motion, nor the hotel from which the hardware was rented, shall be held responsible or liable for issues arising from loss of proprietary data, identity theft or ancillary conditions.
3. Work In Motion diligently strives to maintain the physical and functional integrity of all the rental hardware. The hardware and software, as provided by Work In Motion, is subject to potential component failure or software anomalies. As such, the renter assumes the risk inherent in this regard and will not hold Work In Motion, or the hotel from which the hardware was rented, responsible or liable for any issues pertaining to the loss of data, loss of time or other such ancillary losses due to the failure or renter’s misuse of the hardware.
